How to burn a heretic, John Crowder

A History of Heresiology – Wrong notions of God’s anger can manifest violently in our lives and how we treat others. This is especially true when dealing with “heretics.”

This week, John Crowder shows how the church historically got into the heretic-burning business and provokes us to reconsider how we should approach doctrinal differences.

Hilarious….

Enjoy!

  1. Burning heretics, yeah, we should kill anyone who disagrees with us. Sounds just like Jesus. NOT!

I loved the line, “This issue with the gospel is not that we have all the answers, but that the Answer has us.” Good stuff.

Thomas Merton once said, “If the you of five years ago doesn’t consider the you of today a heretic, you are not growing spiritually.”
